Where, rather than why ...

A post on twitter recently got me to reflect on the above. We are often asked why did you do this, why did you act in a certain way, this often feels like a criticism as if the action taken is somehow wrong and also leaves us with a feeling of needing to explain ourselves, to justify our behaviours, our decision, leaving us then with the doubt and often strong feelings of guilt or shame when actually we were acting in the moment, making our choices based on our own individual experiences. So these questions, these whys, go deep inside for they lay doubts in our very being. Is it not more helpful to look at the where, rather than the why ... more about exploring the feeling, the experience, the what’s this like...and creating space for the where has this come from, the feelings , the natural flow of exploration to emerge and to go where ever it chooses ... with no need to answer why, the pressure off,a space for the ebb and the flow. And then for me there is always the where is this located in me ... where is it felt .. and that’s probably another blog ....
